Smooth and Glowing skin from Head to Toe

July 5, 2014

I'm a big fan of exfoliating and moisturising. The thought of getting rid of those old dead skin cells that cling to the skin's outermost surface, excites me. Oh and I have to say moisturiser is my best friend, I can not have one without the other.

I have put together a step by step guide to a newer, smoother and glowing you. Trust me you will love the result as much as I do and your body will thank you too.

WHAT DO YOU NEED:

  • Exfoliating cleanser

  • Loofah, body brush or exfoliating gloves

  • Pumice stone

  • Body lotion, Facial Moisturiser, Feet Cream

  • Soft Bristle Toothbrush

HOW TO EXFOLIATE:

  • Brush your skin with a loofah, body brush or exfoliating gloves, this help prepare your skin for the exfoliating process. (Avoiding the face)

  • Get into the shower and do your normal routine (E.g. shampooing, conditioning...)

  • Apply your exfoliating cleanser to your loofah or gloves. Turn off the tap and begin scrubbing your body in a circular motion starting from the neck to the feet. Work a little harder around the elbows and knees. Remember to be gentle around the bikini area. Don't forget your hands too.

  • Use your pumice stone on your feet to eliminate rough spots and calluses.

  • Use an exfoliating product especially formulated for the face. Be gentle on your face, particularly around your eyes and mouth. Use a soft bristle toothbrush and gently scrub your lips.

  • Rinse your body with lukewarm water, apply shower gel for scented skin. Finish off with nice cool water.

  • After stepping out of the shower, pat yourself dry, wrap your hair in a towel. Apply a moisturising body lotion all over. Facial moisturiser for the face and a hand and foot cream specifically for these areas for best results.

  • Exfoliate once or twice is usually enough to achieve silky skin, women with oily skin should exfoliate more often then dry skin. If your skin get excessively dry or irratated after exfoliation, it might be because your scrubbing to hard.

  • Remember to moisturise everyday, for best result with Vitamin E oil and then body lotion for all over the body.

  • Don't exfoliate your skin if you are sunburned or have any open cuts and wounds.
